Si çdo vit, edhe kesaj here EA ka njoftuar lojen me te fundit ne serine e vet te lojerave Arcade Racing, Need for Speed Rivals. Ne komunikaten per shyp, EA njoftoi se loja eshte duke u zhvilluar nga nje grup i brendshem, Ghost Games dhe qe do te perdor Frostbite 3 engine. Need For Speed Rivals do t'i lejoje lojetaret te behen shofere te makinave apo oficer policie, secila me setin e vet te meçeve dhe sfidave. Shoferet e sukses'shem mund te hapin makina te reja dhe mundesi te reja sipas pozites se tyre ne liste.
Nje veçori e re e madhe, eshte diçka e quajtur "AllDrive", per te cilen EA ka konfirmuar se lojetaret do te mund te nderrojne pa problem nga nje-lojetar ne shume-lojetare (multiplayer, online). Need for Speed Rivals do t'i kete nje sere makinash te botes reale qe mund te voziten, duke perfshire ketu automjete nga Ferrari per here te pare ne lojen e Need for Speed qe 7 vjet. Data e lansimit eshte thene se do te jete 19 Nentor dhe do te vije per platformat Xbox 360, PS3, PC dhe gjithashtu do te leshohet per Xbox One dhe Play Station 4 me vone kete vit.
