Pixelat jane pika te vogla te shumta ne ekran te cilat se bashku formojne nje imazh. Ne ekranet CRT, LCD, LED, ose plasma, pixelat nuk jane statit, ato shfaqin imazhe te levizshme te cilat ndryshojne, keshtu qe pixelat duhet te ndryshojne ngjyren e tyre. Per te arritur kete, cdo pixel eshte i ndare ne tre nen-pixela, psh. kuq, gjelber, dhe kalter. Secili nen-pixel kontrollohet nga nje transistor i cili mund te jete i kucyr apo i c’kycur. Nje pixel i prishur nuk e shfaq ngjyren te cilen duhet ta shfaq ne momentin e caktuar. Pixeli ka mbetur me nje ngjyre te caktuar dhe nuk e ndryshon, ose nuk shfaq asnje ngjyre dhe paraqet ‘pixel te vdekur’.Per rregullimin e pixelave te prishur apo te vdekur ju rekomandojme programin pa pagese UDPixel te cilin mund ta shkarkoni nga ketu:

Me opcionin dead pixel locator ne anen e majte mund te kerkoni per pixelat e vdekur. Pasi qe ta lokalizoni ndonje pixel qe nuk punon, shkoni ne pjesen e djathte te programit, klikoni Start dhe bartni dritaren e shfaqur neper tere ekran duke e levizur per ti riparuar pixelat e prishur.
